2017 Meeting Presentations will be based on the BACCM – Business Analysis Core Competency Model: Change, Need, Solution, Stakeholder, Value, and Context. This month’s presentation is focused on SOLUTION.
One of the most effective techniques listed in the BABOK is Prototyping. Often users don't know what they want or what they don't want until they see it. When developing software applications this technique can be one of the most powerful tools in Business Analyst's toolkit. This presentation will cover the basics of utilizing this technique including how to incorporate this little thing called User Experience.
1. Know when and why to use prototyping as a technique on a project
2. Understand the different levels of fidelity when using the prototyping technique
3. Get best practices when using prototyping to enhance the user experience
Speaker Bio:
Jennifer (Jen) Kalz is a highly accomplished Senior Business Analyst and Agile Coach at Skyline Technologies, a world-class IT firm specializing in IT consulting and developing custom technology tools. She is a Certified Business Analysis Profession (CBAP) a Certified Usability Analyst (CUA) and a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) with over 15 years of IT experience in business analysis, six sigma, human factors, quality assurance, and training & development.
Jen is passionate about advancing the use of Agile in the IT industry by showing the value Business Analysts bring to a scrum team. She is currently leading Skyline’s BA Center of Practice and is the Lead BA on Skyline’s internal Delta Squad scrum team providing enterprise level best-in-class custom solutions to clients.
